I love to do things that distract me from reality. Things that take my mind off of the chaos that comes with life. Some things that I have discovered that I like to do are journaling, buying new plants, and listening to music. Some bigger activities that I love to do, and that have made me who I am, are going on last minute crazy adventures, raising cows, taking the time torecogize nature, and being a mentor to young children. I have always been the “go with the flow” type person, which is why I love going on adventures and trying new things. Some of my favorite adventures have been building a water slide at a park during the summer, going paddle boarding right after watching sunrise at Lodi Lake, taking a trip to 6Flags, and last minute booking a flight to Utah with my best friends. Reminding myself that you will always remember the trips you took with your friends, rather than the grade you got on a test helps me live more freely. Raising cows has also been a part of me, and what I have been doing for 5 years now. The idea of raising a cow from birth, to be able to show it at fair, to eventually sell it teaches me so many life lessons and provides for the upcoming future. Raising cows has helped me figure out what I want to do in the future, as well as giving me a hobby to be passionate about. During quarantine is when I felt closer to God, and made me realize how beautiful the world is. I find myself going out to watch the sunrise, sunset, or taking my dog for a walk to catch up with God, to clear my mind, and to recognize the little things like bees, ants, and earthly noises that we usually don't notice. Finally, being a weekly babysitter for 4 years now has developed a strong passion for raising children. My months are full of babysitting on the weekends, and my summer is filled with daily nanny activities with the kids. I am seen as a mentor to young children, creating a long lasting impression on them. A few of my favorite moments while babysitting are teaching them how to take their first steps, their first words, and giving them their first bite of solid foods. And before you know it they are running around the house asking if the babysitter can spend the night. Growing up with the same set of kids I babysit is special because I get to see them grow and develop as a young human being.
