Changes happen all the time, but it's the effort you put into something you want to change that is important. This year in leadership I was so grateful to have sophomore officers that all worked together as a team. We all kept in contact while planning events and never had someone ahead or behind, we were all on the same page. We used the sophomore group chat of representatives along with the sophomore officers to include everyone. And we also had monthly meetings with Cutino, our advisor, to discuss upcoming events, such as homecoming , winter formal, winterfest, and coinwarz. Although, something I would change is our way of decorating for rallies and planning the sketches for activities. Whether it is the rallies, front of the school decorations, shopping cart, or the homecoming float, I would like to think more about the designs and order the decorations as a team of officers instead of buying things that might work and that might come in time. As of the whole ASB class this year, we could have started stronger. Instead we realized what made Morty mad and disappointed, and worked on it towards our sadly, but cut off end of the semester. This year one of our core principals was to get to know everyone in the class. One way we tried to do that was to have teams sell tickets for the drive thru tri-tip dinner. However, most teams did not go out and sell tickets as a team. Another example of not getting to know each other more is sitting with the people we know best in the class, instead of going out of our comfort zone to meet new friends within the ASB class. Next year something we could change is having more time to relax and get to know each other. I feel like we are always stressed and worried about getting things done within our bubble, that we don’t have time to build relationships outside of our bubble. I also think we could have more fun activities like team building each week to interact with each other and give us a working break. Finally, I think having committees with a variety of people could help connect with the younger and older classmen. So, next year I hope we all put in effort to make a change.
