The members of leadership this year, truly make it feel like a second home. Coming new into leadership as a sophomore was very nerve wracking, but I quickly adjusted. Although I am still very stressed. However I am so excited to have a positive year this year! My mindset for this year is, expect nothing, appreciate everything. My goal for this year is to remember to stay on task, put important things first, and always remind myself to appreciate everything in life and look at the positive. This is my second year of high school, meaning only two more years left...scary right?. I want to make the best of my four years here, but also make it the best four years for everyone else at the world’s greatest high school! As sophomore class vice president I would like to help the committees with executing new thoughts and ideas, bring up the sophomore’s spirit, and make our campus more united. I am excited for planning homecoming in October, hosting Kyoto students, putting on rallies/ dances, and putting on winter formal with the sophomore representatives. From other leadership peers I have heard homecoming season is very stressful. My expectations for this year are to get more class involvement. I would like to help create more bonds with everyone on campus, and hope homecoming and winter formal come out as a success. Sophomore goals are to finally beat the other grades in something, and to finally be the loudest ones at the rally. Needing a lot of confidence this year, so here is a note to self: Emma; manage your time wisely, don’t stress out about things before you have a reason to stress out. Put more important things first, focus on your goals, look to your pets, friends, and family for support, and try to get some sleep throughout the school years. I hear that high school is the best four years of your life. Make the best out of it, be spirited, join clubs, go to all the events, meet new people, and go out of your comfort zone! Because before you know it, you will be picking a major, and packing for college, just like Kate did.
