Goal One: I hope to work on procrastination Reflection: I have not yet accomplished my goal of procrastination, however I have worked on it. Some tactics I hace tried are bullet journaling and putting more important things first before easier assignments. For example I will list the due dates from most recent to later on. This tactic helps me because it gives me more time to finish the assignments that aren’t due right away. It makes me feel more accomplished going to bed with getting everything done that needs to be done. Bullet journaling has helped to organize my thoughts and assignments. It helps me stay organized and gives a visual understanding of what I have to do.
Goal Two: I would like to go all out this year! Reflection: I can successfully say I went all out this year, and so did the sophomore class! This year I dressed up for all dress up days with more than just the given color. Some of my favorite outfits I wore were the Tigger costume for Disney day, and the flapper dress for Great Gaspy. As of the sophomore class, we brought spirit every spirit day. Some things we did to help boost the spirit was to post about it on all social media. The class officers posted on the sophomore Instagram, personal Instagram, and SnapChat . We also made a class of 2022 Snapchat to give them updates as well. Our class took either first or second each spirit day.
Goal Three: A long term goal is to leave a legacy at Ripon High. Reflection: I have not yet left a legacy at Ripon High because I still have two more years. However, I have started to leave my legacy on campus by being a positive, hard worker. I would like my legacy to be left as a good student. Always there to help others out and showing kindness that isn’t always seen on campus. I would like to be a student that everyone could come to for advice and comfort.
Goal Four: I would like to get to know everyone around campus. Reflection: I obviously can’t get to know everyone on campus personally, however throughout this year I have made many connections with freshmen, sophomores, juniors and staff. I wish I could create bonds with everybody on campus, although there are solutions. As I have been on campus I have been showing my positive attitude by smiling at everyone, opening doors for people and always saying please and thank you. I have also joined Link Crew which has helped me get to know the incoming freshmen for next school year.
Goal Five: My goal for leadership is to go out of my comfort zone. Reflection: I have definitely gotten out of my comfort zone this year. The past year I have made so many different friends from different friend groups, wasn’t afraid of being in FFA, and embraced who I am. I have made so many friends in leadership, FFA, sports, as well as keeping my close friends. I have come out of my comfort zone because I didn’t always talk about being in FFA, and the more I embrace it, the more I love being in the program. Leadership has also gotten me out of my comfort zone talking to different people, putting on events, and talking in front of the whole school.
Goal Six: To be mindful of the self Reflection: The past month I have been mindful of self, especially with quanentine going on this month. However, before this world wide virus I made the decision to not play softball this year. I made this decision to give myself more time to do my homework, and more time for naps and healthy afterschool snacks. I have also been going on runs, finding new quotes, taking time to paint and start bullet journaling. During busier times we aren’t always going to be mindful of ourselves, but it helps that I know new techniques to use when I am busy.
