What makes an Ideal leader? I looked up a true definition of a “good leader” and it said, “Your company and its employees are a reflection of yourself, and if you make honest and ethical behavior a key value, your team will follow. So remember to lead by example. “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” I agree with the quote from the statement, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” I agree with it because it shows true qualities that make up an ideal leader. An ideal leader should not be afraid to “lead the way” or “ show the way”, he or she should be bold and confident in their own work. For example planning events such as rallies or dances, the leader should be confident in their work so other people are just as confident and not as doubtful. Leaders should also lead by being good examples and having a good reputation. ASB leaders at Ripon High are not just leaders in class, they are the student leaders on campus, they are who the student body looks up to. By setting good examples like getting involved, being positive, and having a good mindsets, it can encourage the rest of the student body to do also. In the Ripon High leadership program, what should be acceptable can be quite challenging. You are expected to turn everything in on time , with no exceptions. Always be working on something whether it is POs, procedure forms, your journal, or planning events for the future, and to set yourself as a good role model on campus. However, what is not acceptable in being an ideal leader is setting yourself as a bad example. Not taking the time to put your best effort in, and not having the mindset of improving, whether it is events, or everyday activities such as sports or relationships. Being an ideal leader all boils down to your mindset, and in Ripon High ASB, your professionalism. With a good mindset you are capable of many things such as, improving, setting yourself as a good role model or example or, creating your own pathway.
