Leadership has taught me how to be confident during interviews, and to always communicate with others. This year will mark my second year in leadership, which allowed me to work on my interviewing process. The interview process made me feel more confident, and aware of what it is like in an actual interview setting. Learning the key details of what employees look at in a good applicant helped me during my professional mock interview with a veterinarian, and pharmacist. After a long interviewing process of a panel of 2 individuals, I was told I was very confident, relaxed, poised, and made great eye contact the whole time, scoring a 100% on my mock interview, and landing me a summer job for being their nanny for their two children. These skills lead up to being a great professional, and may lead you to getting you a job. Developing great communication skills has also been part of the program. Whether it is setting up an interview with a professional, planning events, or being open during debriefs, and asb meetings, we are all communicating. Ways that I find that are easy to communicate are through group chats, class meetings, email, text, or setting up meetings face to face. Communication can help build teamwork, become more transparent with your team, and also help push out information with others around you. Without communication events would not run as smoothly, deadlines would be missed, and there would be little to no team.
