I have always been an animal person, I have always grown up with a house full of pets. When I was 8 years old I joined 4-H and raised pigs for 5 years but once I got to high school I wanted to follow in my little brother's footsteps. He has always shown cows in 4-H when I showed pigs, but my family made the decision to start our own cattle business. Freshman year I bought my first steer and heifer. Now that I am a junior in high school my family now has seven cows, and expecting four claves this year. My favorite parts about raising and showing cattle are experiencing fair each year, meeting new people with the same hobby, winning awards such as FFA reserve champion, and my favorite season is calving season. Raising cattle has helped me get a closer bond with my brother and dad, as well as a great learning opportunity which sparked my interest in becoming a livestock vet in the future.
Babysit
Getting asked to babysit is always a text I look forward to getting. Ever since I was 12 years old I have always babysat for families, but up until two years ago, I have babysat a specific family for their whole lives. I started babysitting Enzo when he was 6 months old, occasionally babysitting him once a month. He is now two and a half years old, and I have taught him everything between walking to potty training. He now has a sister, Ella, who is one and a half. I have been a part of teaching her how to walk and talk. I feel as if I have grown up with them as much as they have grown up with me. They are my little sunshines that always put a smile on my face. I am now their nanny during the summer, babysitting round clock. Ella and Enzo will always be a part of my life, and I will dread the day that I will no longer need to babysit.
Family
Family is the most important thing to me. Growing up in a household where my cousins come over more than my friends do I have always been close to my cousins. One of my favorite activists I like to do with my family is playing cards and board games. My favorite games are Family Feud and Rummy. I also have very close family friends that I consider family. I always go to them when I need support or wanting to go on family trips. Each year my family goes to Tahoe with the Taberna family and Calkin family. They both attend each of our. birthdays, holidays and graduations. I am glad to have a close family and family friends that will always support me.
