Dear April, you did it! You are finally a senior, a year that everyone looks forward to. Growing up we always look forward to the big days, first day of school, 8th grade promotion and senior graduation, but when they start to approach it begins to become more of a reality. If you had to take one piece of advice from me, it would be to savor each moment before it is too late. Going through 4 years of high school I can truly say that those four years have been my best years yet. These years have felt short, yet so fulfilling, and rewarding. I will cherish these high school years for the rest of my life. As you know senior year gets busy, and from what I know, you are going 100 mph when it comes to work. I get tired just watching you work. Some advice that I like to follow and would like to repeat, is to never be ashamed to take time for yourself. Trust me, dealing with senior classes, Ap classes, a job, planning senior events, and on top of it planning your next chapter of your life… It is terrifying and draining. Taking a day off of school to focus on yourself is totally okay. Crying and breaking down is totally okay. And not being afraid to step away and say no is totally fine. At the end of the day you want your last year of high school to be as eventful and joyful as it can be. Make sure to slow down and personally take in each memory and event at a time, because before you know it you will be walking across that stage in a blink of an eye. So as senior class president, 1. Don’t be afraid to put yourself first, 2. Make sure to communicate with all of your team including Morty, 3. Carry the legacy of running an impressive galley of the arts for me, 4. Make sure to breathe every once in a while, and 5. Make the best out of your senior year, and never give up on your fantasy romance that we share the same interests in.
